Dr. Byam: 
Dr. Byam was was awarded the first annual  "humane-itarian" award from the Sacramento SPCA, and is also actively involved with pug rescue and other charitable foundations.  She is a former President of the Sacramento Valley Veterinary Medical Association(SVVMA) , and she served on the Small Animal External Advisory Board for UC Davis' Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital from 2002-2005.  Now she serves on the Advisory Admissions committee at UC Davis, helping to choose the nations future veterinarians.  Additionally, she serves the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) on the Accreditation Committee for Western Career College, and as a delegate to the California Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA).  She also serves on the Charitable Foundation for the SVVMA.   She enjoys spending time with her family, RVing, traveling and reading. She has Pugs, Dachschunds and a cat.
 
 
 
 
 
Dr. Edling: 
 Dr. Rich Edling has an MBA and has been successful in the fields of nutritional and genetic research.  For 2007, he is serving  as President of  the Sacramento Valley Veterinary Medical Association.   He is also an alternate delegate for CVMA.  He also works in Technical Services for a Pharmaceutical Company called Intervet.  He enjoys spending time with his family, he is a dedicated athelete, having successfully lost and kept off weight, and he has Pugs and a Labrador.
